Hook Text Pop: a hook text animation that opens a loop in two seconds
Hook Text Pop is a 2-second text scene where the first words of a line type themselves out and the rest pop in at once in a highlight color. It opens a question, a dare or a promise that the next scene has to answer. It is for teams that need a fast, bold first line or a restart in the middle of a video.
The preview shows placeholder content. Your video uses your UI, words, logo and colors.

What it looks like
The screen holds only text. The opening words of your line type themselves out one letter at a time. Then, instead of continuing to type, the rest of the line pops in all at once in a highlight color, so the stressed words hit harder than the setup. The whole thing is over in about two seconds and leaves the thought hanging, which pulls the viewer straight into the next scene for the answer.
It works as the very first scene or as a restart mid-video, and it feels bold and fast.
Best for
- Opening a video with a question your product answers
- Making a promise that the next scene pays off
- Restarting the energy in the middle of a longer demo
- Putting the stress on the surprising part of a line
What you add
- A short line split into typed opening words and highlighted ending words
- A highlight color, usually your brand color
No recording needed
This scene is built from your words, logo and brand colors. Add your website and Wevi pulls your logo, colors and fonts, so it matches your product without design work.

Questions
Can Hook Text Pop be my last scene?
No. It always sets up something that comes next, so it should never be the final scene or the call to action.
Which words should get the highlight color?
Put the surprise or the promise in the highlighted part, since that is where the stress lands. The typed opening words set it up.
How is it different from Snap Expand?
Hook Text Pop is the lighter opener. Snap Expand starts with one word filling the whole screen and is the most aggressive of the text hooks.
