Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Wevi ("Wevi", "we", "us") covering wevi.ai, the Wevi app at app.wevi.ai, the Wevi API and the Wevi connectors for AI assistants (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Wevi for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organization.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.

Wevi turns published motion templates into short videos. You fill a template's text, colors, logos and image slots, optionally capture your product's web pages into it, add AI-assisted scripts, voiceover and music, and export the result. You can use Wevi in the app, through the API, or through an AI assistant you connect to your account.

We improve Wevi continuously, so features may change, and we may add or remove them. Features marked as beta or preview are provided as they are and may change or end without notice.

Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password, API keys and connected assistants secure. You are responsible for everything that happens in your account, including actions taken with your API keys and by assistants you connect. Tell us straight away at team@wevi.ai if you think someone is using your account without permission.

• Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• One-time purchases, such as credit packs, render top-ups and watermark-free export passes, are charged when you buy them.
• Plan allowances reset at the start of each billing period and unused allowance does not carry over. Purchased credits remain valid for 12 months from purchase. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
• Exports on the free plan carry a Wevi watermark. Test API keys are for development only and produce watermarked, lower-resolution output.
• Prices may change. We will tell you before a change affects a subscription you already have.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices do not include taxes unless stated, and you are responsible for applicable taxes.
• Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If a render or export fails because of a problem on our side, contact us and we will make it right, for example by restoring the credits used.

You keep ownership of the content you bring to Wevi, such as prompts, scripts, brand assets, uploads and captures ("Your Content"). You give Wevi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Service and to do what you ask of it. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use Your Content with Wevi.

• Only capture websites, and use names, logos and content, that you own or are allowed to use. You are responsible for following the terms of the sites you capture.
• Only sign in to accounts you are allowed to use. Saved logins stay in your account's private browser profile, and you can remove them at any time.
• Check what a capture shows before you publish it. Captures can include personal or confidential information that was on screen, and you are responsible for what appears in your videos.

As between you and Wevi, you own the videos you export. The templates, animations, music, voices and fonts inside them remain the property of Wevi or its licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use those elements as part of the videos you export from Wevi, for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

You may not extract templates, music or voice audio to use, sell or distribute on their own, or use them to build a competing template or media library.

Wevi uses AI to draft storyboards, scripts and voiceovers and to suggest what to capture. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and may resemble output produced for others. Review it before you publish. Voiceovers use synthetic voices from Wevi's voice library; do not use them to impersonate a real person or to mislead people about who is speaking.

• Keep API keys secret and do not share them outside your organization. We may revoke a key that has been exposed.
• The API and connectors have rate limits, usage caps and credit costs, which we may change to keep the Service reliable.
• When you connect an AI assistant, you authorize it to act in your account on your behalf, including creating projects, running captures and spending credits. You are responsible for what it does, and you can disconnect it at any time.
• We may suspend a key or connector that puts the Service, other users or third parties at risk.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• create content that is deceptive, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent, or that impersonates a person or organization;
• capture or access sites, accounts or data you are not authorized to access, or get around paywalls, access controls or security measures;
• send spam, distribute malware, or interfere with or overload the Service or the sites it visits;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service, its templates or its output as a competing product;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it; or
• get around plan limits, credits, watermarks or other restrictions.

The Service, including its software, templates, design and the Wevi name and logo, belongs to Wevi and its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms. We keep all other rights.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

The Service works with services we do not control, such as Stripe for payments, Google and Apple for sign-in, and the AI assistants you connect. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

You can stop using Wevi at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you fail to pay, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we are required to by law. We will give notice where it is reasonable to do so. Download any videos you want to keep before your account closes. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, survive termination.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that captures will match a website exactly, or that AI output will be accurate.

To the extent the law allows, Wevi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and 100 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You will defend and indemnify Wevi against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from Your Content, the sites you capture, or your use of the Service in breach of these terms or the law.

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Wevi about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Wevi is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
