Make Room: an add item animation where your real window grows
Make Room is a four-second scene where a real window from your product makes room for something new. It opens as it looked before the new items existed, then snaps wider or taller around its center for each one while everything already in it keeps its place. It suits anything that gets added, connected, created or unlocked, such as items, features, members, integrations or results.

What it looks like
A card or panel from your product opens without its new elements. One at a time, it snaps wider for cards or tiles side by side, or taller for rows in a list, and each new element fades into the space that just opened. A title above the window is real text in your brand font and rides along its left edge. One to eight elements work, and the result feels calm and tactile, like a product doing exactly what it should.
It fits right after the action that adds things is named, or as proof that a set keeps growing, and it feels calm and tactile.
Best for
- Showing new members or integrations being added
- Showing results piling up after an action
- Proving that a set keeps growing
- Following the scene that names the action that adds them
What you add
- A capture of the card or panel that holds the new items
- One to eight of those items, picked in reading order
- A short title for above the window
Capture tips
- Let the page finish loading so every element shows real content and no skeleton or spinner is left.
- Zoom the browser in far on the window so it fills most of the screen.
- Select the whole window first, out to its outer edge with its header. Never use the whole page as the window.
- Then select the new elements inside it one by one in reading order, side by side in one row or one under another in one list. Never pick an element and something inside it.

Questions
How is it different from Push Down?
Push Down slides new rows into the top of a list. Make Room grows a card or panel around new items that sit side by side or stacked inside it.
What should the title say?
Something that frames what gets added, without repeating text that is already inside the window.
Can it close the video?
No. It is not built as a call to action, so keep it in the product part of the video.
