Cursor Press: a cursor click animation for your real UI

Cursor Press is a three-second close-up where one real button or control from your product sits still and a cursor glides in and presses it. It captures the exact moment something gets done, such as publishing, sending, saving, starting or approving, and proves that the claim takes one click.

The preview shows placeholder content. Your video uses your UI, words, logo and colors.

What it looks like

The frame is locked tight on a single control from your page: a button, tab, toggle or menu item. Nothing else moves. A cursor glides in, settles on the control and presses it, and the control takes on a pressed look. The click lands a little over a second in. The cursor can carry a name or a face, so the click can belong to the viewer, a teammate or a customer.

It lands after a typing or choosing scene and right before a loading or result scene, as a direct and satisfying full stop.

Best for

  • Showing the one click that publishes, sends, saves or starts something
  • Ending a typing or choosing sequence with a clear full stop
  • Setting up a loading or result scene that comes right after
  • Proving that an approval takes a single click

What you add

  • One button or control captured from your product
  • Optionally, a name or a face for the cursor

Capture tips

  • Select the whole button out to its outer edge, background shape and padding included, not just the words or icon inside it.
  • Pick a control with a visible body, like a filled or outlined button, tab, toggle, menu item or icon button, rather than a plain text link.
  • Zoom in a step or two first if the control is small, so the close-up stays sharp.
  • Capture it in its normal resting state, not hovered, focused, pressed or disabled. The scene adds the pressed look itself.

Questions

What is the difference between Cursor Press and Cursor Select?

Cursor Press stays locked on the control and is only about the moment of the click. Cursor Select opens on the whole page first, so use it when viewers need to see where the control lives.

Can Cursor Press show several clicks?

No, one click only. One short voiceover line of 5 to 7 words built on the button's action verb fits best.

What if I want the button with no page around it?

Use Simple Button Press, which shows the button alone on the background.
